Tips on Preventing a Tire Blowout

A tire blowout often hits you unexpectedly. You probably will not have much fun trying to change a tire on the side of the road. To help prevent these unexpected yet preventable blowouts from occurring, here are some things to look for to keep your tires and your car up and running.

One of the most common reasons for blowouts is underinflated tires. If you are driving around on tires with low air pressure, it will not be long before one of your tires fail. Check your tire pressure every few weeks, especially if you live in colder climates. Tires tend to deflate more during cold weather. If you are not sure how much air your tire holds, you can find your tire pressure on the driver's side door or on the sidewall of your tires.

Is your car vibrating or is there a bulge in your tire. Schedule an appointment with a pro at Lion Country Kia before you experience an "unexpected" blowout.
