Don't Drive On Winter Tires In The Summer

Some people don't use all-season tires. They put a separate set of tires on their vehicles in the summer and winter. Some try to drive on their set of winter tires all year long. There are a couple of reasons why this isn't a good idea.

Winter tires are specifically designed to grip the road better in cold and wet conditions. In the summer, the hot and dry roads tend to cause winter tires to wear down quicker than summer tires. If you use winter tires in the summer, they won't last as long as they should.

You won't get the type of handling that you want from your vehicle if you use winter tires in the summer. The winter tires get too soft in the heat, and this doesn't allow for precision handling from your vehicle. To get the best handling, you need to change to summer tires or keep all-season tires on your vehicle.
