The 2018 Kia Rio is new on the inside and new on the outside. Stare square into the front fascia, and you're greeted with cleaner lines and a more rectangular shape relative to the outgoing model. The new Rio is still available in both five-door hatchback and four-door sedan variants. That being said, Kia has made many changes to the Rio lineup, so both models benefit equally.

The new Rio hatch and sedan are receive a new UVO infotainment system, for starters. A new powertrain is also included, and Kia says it is not only more efficient, but also provides better passing power due to the power-band, despite losing a few horsepower. If you've been in the market for a small, affordable sedan or hatchback, then the new Rio in either hatch or sedan body-style might just be your ideal vehicular other-half.
